The Livelihoods Program

The Livelihoods program focuses on activities that aim to break the farmer's rural cycle of poverty and meet the emergency needs of food sovereignty and agricultural organic are used to promote families economic and community development. It also aims to help secure the resources needed to generate income, as well as to provide sustainable livelihoods for the current and future generations and to enhance their well-being. 
Ensure food sovereignty and sustainable development of local communities by improving the lives of the most vulnerable through promoting the sustainable use of available resources, including equitable sharing and sharing of benefits arising from implemented projects.
we focus on people who are small scale farmers able to produce enough food and income or do not have the means to obtain the minimum family requirements for an active and healthy life especially women farmers and peasant affected by the land issue at rural areas in Cambodia in target group of CCFC's. 

Objective of Livelihood Program 

The objective of the Sustainable Livelihood Program is to reduce poverty and inequality by generating employment among poor households and by moving highly vulnerable households into sustainable livelihoods and toward economic stability. It has two tracks: The saving for change development track provides participants with access to funds and training to set up their own saving for change. The employment facilitation track provides employable individuals access to locally available jobs through public-private partnerships.
1- It is imbued with potentials to improve the capacity, skill, knowledge and standard of living of rural communities through the engagement of individual low-income rice farmers, rural women, vulnerable youths and children in the 48 communities target rural communities as well as the communities itself in collective capacity for productive, income-generating, and poverty alleviation purposes.
2- It will strengthen the communities’ economic and food security aspirations, create job opportunities for the jobless; reduce rural to urban migration, and promote land rights prevention in the communities.
3- The 48 community’s activists and volunteers (farmer’s vegetable growers, chicken raisers, and fruit tree planters) will increase income through vegetable growing and fruit tree growing and duck and chicken rising.
4- The 48 community’s activists and volunteers will increase protected reserved food when there are on front link work of advocacy and will be more active in supporting community work without fear of exhausting their household income

What Key Activities 

CCFC has support and Conduct technical skill building on chicken raising and drip-system method to key activists in order to build skill set of Chicken raising and vegetable drip-system: Conduct field training on chicken raising to key activists in target communities. so we Conduct field training on drip-system of new technical initiative to key activists in target communities. CCFC provider the Offer fruit trees to offer to key activists and farmers members at local communities and Conduct exposure visit or best practice learning to key activists. 
CCFC has Strengthen on follow up mechanism to respond to specific needed on time and collect progressive information of activists. 1) Set up vegetable drip-system growing and Chicken raising groups in order to make closely follow up each activists to ensure their practice and collect progressive information.2) Provide technical support to each team as needs to in ensure the quality of following up and collecting progressive information. 3)Strengthen staff capacity skill on skill set related to the project management and conduct field monitoring to make to project efficiency and effectiveness

Program Approach

This program will provide to new activists and farmers members only. To make effectiveness and efficiency of the project, activist’s family will be also engaged to join each technical training (Chicken raising and vegetable drip-system growing) and the project will select activists who have a genuine commitment to learning from the best practice of the technical practice in other areas to pressure their quality of practice. With this, CCFC will create a team of each project (Chicken and Drip-System) by selecting key activists who are active and follow best practice on their farm to follow up their members and collect progressive information. Moreover, CCFC staff will also keep closely follow the team created and conduct field visit regularly in the target areas to ensure the project effectiveness and efficiency.
